Mabel's first solid meal!

A few weeks ago Mabel tried out some rice cereal. Of course Rora had to help, she loves helping her little sister! Mabel was great at opening her mouth but didn't care too much for swallowing the cereal. That's just fine with mommy though, she is growing up too fast.

Happy Birthday Aurora!

Rora turned 2 years old today! I can't believe how grown-up she is getting. Some of her favorite things to do are playing with her little sister, drawing, stickers, "reading" books and being read to, running in the sprinklers (it's Hot), singing songs (especially "twinkle twinkle little star", "monkeys jumping on the bed", and "5 little monkeys swing in a tree"), dancing, playing dress-up princess, giving hugs and kisses, and having fun with her family. Some of her favorite things to eat are peanut butter with carrots or apples, peanut butter sandwiches, grapes, fruit snacks, Popsicles, spaghetti, and okra from Grandma and Papa's garden.
Aurora is such a beautiful girl inside and out and we love her so much; it is hard to let her grow up but it is even more exciting to see the wonderful person she is becoming and watch her learn and grow each day!

I just realized that I never posted any pictures of Mabel's Blessing Day.

Aurora had fun with swimming lessons a few weeks ago.

Rora is a little artist. She loves to draw hearts, stars, circles, balloons, apples, and lots more. The above picture is one of her latest balloons and the below picture is an apple!

Here are two of Aurora's best friends. The brown one's name is Jakes; Rora loves to sing "Monkeys jumping on the bed" and playing "ring around the rosies" with them.

Even though most of the grandchildren are very young and may not remember all their time with grammy, they will always know the love that she brought and continues to share with all of us.

Every time we visit the beach it will be in her memory.

Death Is But A Rebirth

To some death may seem as sleeping everlasting
But to those who know the truth
It is just a change, a progression
For we shall still be in our youth

So mourn for them a little while
And then rejoice within your soul
Knowing they have gone onward
To attain their eternal goal

One day we will all be united
What joy and happiness this shall bring
To live eternally together
Will make all Heaven sing!
